Date and Paint Class is NOT a serious Art lesson, but is intended for you to RELAX, have FUN and leave with an
AWESOME piece of artwork that you created.
-          no experience needed, zero level painting, skills painters are welcome
-          paint, brushes, apron…are provided
-          paint picture under fun Lorea's guidance, who will tell you, step by step, how & what to paint, and you use your own
creativity for your art

2 different glintweins for you to choose your cup from:  Red, made with our wine Carousel,  and White , made with our
Glintwein- it’s a Russian traditional  drink and it's made warm, and will be done using our own wine with honey, cinnamon,
lemon...  Cup of Glintwein  is $ 6.00 per person. Free cup for the wine club members. No reservation required.

February 17-19th, Friday-Sunday: Valentine's Wine and Chocolate
Bring you Valentine for the wine and chocolate tasting!
This year we will pair chocolate ganache, made with Vartanyan Tempranillo 2014 wine by Chocolate necessities with
Tempranillo wine 2014 .

February 14th, Tuesday, 6.30: Valentine's Paint classes:
Bring your someone special and enjoy a romantic evening sipping wonderful wines and painting a masterpiece together ~
$25 per person Please RSVP prepaid as this event will sell out -- 360-325-2457 We start with wine tasting some amazing
wines, then give step by step fun instructions while you paint your masterpiece.
You will paint the picture “Paradise Sunset” and it is for the couples .. each does their own canvas and together it’s one.

Bordeaux Blend Barrel Tasting.
During Barrel tasting you would be able to taste all 6 component wines of Bordeaux blend straight and 2 different
Bordeaux blends: Right Bank and Left Bank and will ask you to what blend you like more and what straight wines you
would want to see bottled in Spring of 2017 for the release on Mother’s Day weekend.
Red Bordeaux is made from a blend of grapes. Permitted grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit
Verdot, Malbec and Carmenere.
The major rive Gironde divides Bordeaux region into two primary sections – known worldwide simply as the left bank and
the right bank.
Typical Left Bank Bordeaux blends are based on Cabernet Sauvignon ( 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc
and 15% Merlot.), while typical Right Bank Blend is based on Merlot.(70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet

April 1st, Saturday 1-6: Bottle Yourself:
After February barrel tasting I will know the wines to be bottled for Spring Wine Release 2017. Come to bottle one or more
of those wines yourself. I provide the wines, bottles, labels, corks, capsules and you bottle, label, cork and capsule the
bottle of wine!

May 12-14, Friday - Sunday: Mother's Day Weekend
Celebrate Mother’s Day with the tasting of our new wines.

Taste the wines from the barrels and Three different blends for Trilogia 2014 to choose and vote.
July 22nd, Sat (1-6): Evolve truffles:
chocolate ganache, truffles, sipping chaicolate and a boozy hazelnut chocolate bar.

August 5th, Saturday: Bellingham Northwest Wine Festival
Vartanyan Estate Winery would like to invite you to the second annual Bellingham Northwest Wine Festival on Saturday,
August 5. We will be one of over 40 Pacific Northwest wineries at this year's Festival, to be held at the Four Points by
Sheraton Ballroom in Bellingham. We are very excited to have 3 medals for our 3 submitted wines for competition: White
Trio 2015, Malbec 2014 and Carmenere 2014.. The medals will be announced on the night of the Festival.

The Festival will include a tasting of over 100 wines, pass-around appetizers, food samples from local restaurants, and a
medal awards presentation from an earlier judging  Net proceeds from the event will benefit non-profit organizations
including Brigadoon Service Dogs Veterans Programs, Growing Veterans, Lydia Place, and Our TreeHouse.
The cost is very inexpensive, $ 50 per person.

September is the time to celebrate local food, as part of Eat Local Month Sustainable connections invites you to the
Whatcom Food Fest, a weekend of artisan food and culinary experiences in and around Bellingham. Featuring the
Whatcom Farm Tour, local spirits and bites pairing, a farm to table brunch, wine, cheese, chocolate and much more!
We will participate in Whatcom Food Festival:

October 21 - 22: Vertical BARREL TASTING
Vertical Barrel Tasting is wine tasting, where different vintages of the same wine type from the same winery are tasted.
We will taste similar wines, younger from the barrels and later vintages from the bottles to highlight difference between
various vintages: Carmenere 2014 vs 2015; Malbec 2014 vs 2016; Syrah 2014 vs Syrah 2016 …. up to 12 wines for
tasting.   Tasting fee is $ 10.00 per person, waived with the purchase of bottle of wine per person. Tasting for the wine club
members and their guests is free. No reservations required.

November 18-19:Thanksgiving celebration with Glintwein
Glintwein- it’s a Russian traditional  drink. This drink it just about everywhere in the Europe. The Germans call it
“Glühwein” ("glowing (as in heat, not light) wine"); the Dutch “Gløgg”(“heated”), the French vin chaud, (“heated wine”),
the Russians “glintwein” and it's made warm, and will be done using our own wine with honey, cinnamon, lemon... Only
two ways to describe it: delicious and unforgettable. Cup of Glintwein  is $ 6.00 per person. Free for the wine club
members. No reservation required.
